Helper City Park
Helper City Park, located on the east side of town in conjunction with the baseball fields and City Pool, features slides, swings, and picnic tables, as well as an oasis of shade under mature trees. You can take your sweetie out to the ballgame at the baseball diamond or practice your pitch. From the hilltop vantage, one can also see the railyard and thrumming train engines, the false-front roofline of downtown, and the rise of hills and canyons of the Wasatch Plateau while you listen for the call of mountain bluebirds and mourning doves.

Boulder Park
The Boulder Playground, located just south of the River Pavillion, allows children to play and boulder around on several natural stones as well as explore man-made tunnels. Musical percussion instruments will be added in the summer of 2019. During the summer months songbirds, from western tanagers, goldfinches, and thrushes build nests and sing from the shelter of river trees. Hummingbirds zip and hum as children clamber and climb beneath the shady trees to the song of water.

BASEBALL FIELDS
Helper City is home to the Walt Borla Field, Heritage Field and Gardener Field.
GIGLIOTTI FISHING POND
Gigliotti Pond, located just north of Helper on Martin Rd., sits at the mouth of Price Canyon. The Helper cliffs stand reflected in the water, and shaded fishing stations circle the pond. Red-winged blackbirds trill and the call of train horns bandy up and down the canyon.
The pond is accessible by a paved trail, which is a wheelchair, bicycle, and stroller-friendly. Fishers may catch two fish per day, typically rainbow trout, bluegill, and largemouth bass. Bass catch-and-release is encouraged.

Helper River Pavilion
The River Pavillion, available for reservation, is located just behind downtown, with access to restrooms, a small vendor’s kitchen, and restrooms. Birthday parties, nature journaling, graduation, and receptions may be held, with grass, shade, and the Boulder Park nearby.

BIG JOHN/HELPER CIVIC AUDITORIUM
Be sure to stop by and take a photo with Big John, the world’s tallest coal miner, on the north end of Main Street.

HELPER POOL
A small seasonal pool nestled in the hills above Helper. Equipped with a waterfall, slide and diving boards. The pool is available for parties and stands adjacent to the City Park for extension of the fun!

RIO THEATER
The Rio Theatre hosts annual events such as the Butch Cassidy Film Festival and the Helper Arts, Music, and Film Festival. The Rio is also available for traveling shows, such as programs with the Utah Opera, Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra and Utah Youth Philharmonic. Comedians, local schools, and ballet performances also light the stage.

HELPER PARKWAY
With mountains serving as the backdrop, topped with the iconic Balance Rock, you’re sure to see the most unique aspects of the city when traversing by foot. Stroll along the river walkway to explore the Price River, which runs directly through town, complete with beaches and wading areas. A paved walking path makes for an easy stroll while those looking for adventure can float down the river in a tube or kayak.

Founded in 1980 by Gary Prazen, Original Creations provides high-quality artwork to industries. It is still family-owned by Danny Blanton (Gary’s son-in-law), and Original Creations has a lot to offer you.
