Carbon County employees annually raise funds for a charitable organization benefitting Carbon County residents, or for a resident or family in need. Charitable organizations, governmental entities or agencies, and individuals or families are welcome to apply. Charitable organizations which have not received IRS 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status or are not sponsored by a 501(c) (3) foundation or trust will generally not be considered except in exceptional circumstances.
In the event an individual or family is chosen as the beneficiary of the fundraiser, funds must be transferred directly to the bank account of the individual or the trustee of a trust of which the individual is the beneficiary. We cannot issue a check to an individual.
Return this application to the Carbon County Human Resources Office in the Carbon County Building, located at 751 East 100 North in Price. Application deadline is January 21. The Carbon County Employees Fundraiser committee retains complete discretion to determine and weigh all criteria it believes relevant to selecting a beneficiary of the funds, including but not limited to the significance and immediacy of the need of the applicant, the planned use of the funds, the applicant’s ability to help multiple Carbon County residents or Carbon County generally, the ability to combine funds of the applicant with other funds for a charitable project (if applicable), and the applicant’s past or ongoing contributions to Carbon County. The funds will be awarded without regard to an applicant’s race, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, religion, or age.
